WHY ARE YOU UPGRADING YOUR CORE PROCESSING SYSTEM?
The upgrade will help us provide you with the highest level of service possible. Upgrading a core processing system is typically a once-in-a-generation occurrence and will ensure our system has the capacity to handle membership growth and technological advancements for years to come.

WHAT NEW BENEFITS WILL BE AVAILABLE AFTER THE UPGRADE?
You can look forward to several upgrades to your banking experience, including:

  • See your payroll deposit early and access it for a small fee
  • Contactless cards that are compatible with Apple Pay®, Samsung® Pay and Google PayTM
  • Access to more surcharge-free ATMs
  • More digital forms
  • Less data processing for employees, which will translate to even faster and better member service
  • Quick loan offers

DURING THE UPGRADE WEEKEND, WILL I STILL HAVE ACCESS TO MY ACCOUNTS?
Yes, account access will be available, but at a limited capacity. You won’t have access to the online and mobile banking platforms during the upgrade: March 29-31. Once the new system is live on April 1, your account balances will update, and you’ll be able to log in to online/mobile banking. However, your password will need to be updated.

HOW WILL THE UPGRADE IMPACT AUTOMATIC WITHDRAWALS AND DIRECT DEPOSITS?
All automatic withdrawals and direct deposits should proceed normally. However, you may notice a minor delay in automatic withdrawals and direct deposits during the upgrade period of March 29-31.

CAN I USE SHARED BRANCHES DURING THE UPGRADE?
No, you will not be able to access your accounts via Shared Branching services during the upgrade weekend. These services will resume on April 1, after completion of the upgrade.

CAN I USE ATMs AND MY DEBIT/CREDIT CARDS DURING THE UPGRADE?
Yes! ATMs and all Educational Community cards (debit, credit, ATM) will be available during the entire upgrade period.

WILL MY INFORMATION BE SECURE THROUGHOUT THE UPGRADE?
Yes, your security is a top priority. Your account information will remain protected as we complete this upgrade.

WHAT IF THE UPGRADE TAKES LONGER THAN EXPECTED?
While we don’t anticipate any delays, we will post updates on our website and social media pages if the upgrade extends beyond the currently scheduled April 1 completion date.

SYSTEM
UPGRADE

LIVE ON APRIL 1

PRE-UPGRADE:
WHAT SHOULD I DO TO PREPARE?

Update Your Contact Information – Check your account to ensure we have the correct mailing address, phone number and email address, as this is how we will get in touch with you before, during and after the upgrade.

POST-UPGRADE:
WHAT WILL CHANGE AND WHAT WILL STAY THE SAME?

Debit and ATM Card Numbers – All card numbers will remain the same; however, we will begin issuing new contactless cards later in the year, after the conversion.

Website – Our main website will have some new features, but the web address, educationalccu.org, will remain the same. Our online banking site that is accessible through the main website will change.

Usernames and Passwords – Usernames will remain the same. However, your password will change. To log in for the first time, you will need your current username and a one-time password that will be the last four digits of your Social Security Number followed by the first two letters of your last name. You will not use your current password. From there, you will be prompted to update your password. We will have our old online banking available for the first 90 days after the conversion in case you need to get any pre-conversion information during this transition. The old online banking will use your username and old password and will be in inquiry-mode only (meaning no transactions can be done).

Account Suffixes – Your base account number will NOT change. Your account type suffix will change from a letter to a three-digit number. No action is required on your part.

Checks – Your checks and routing number will NOT change. Please continue using your existing checks.

Online Bill Pay Information – Your payees and payments will NOT change.

External Bank-to-Bank Transfers – Any scheduled EXTERNAL transfers on the mobile app or online banking system after March 27 will need to be redone. Please make arrangements to update these as soon as possible after the upgrade.

Statements – Your account statements will NOT change or be affected by the upgrade.
